I could not get past 13% of this. And I tried very hard, since I bought it. The idea sounds great, but the execution needs a lot of work. Most of it is "cringy" at best. It feels like this was written by a high schooler. There isn't much depth to the characters and mostly, they just argue and are childish to each other and then she just rolls over... personally, just a waste of money for me. Twenty plus years separate the hero and the heroine in this age gap, office romance. Where is CEO of a clean energy company and Eliza an intern. They'd met the year before and had a ONS that he sneaked out on so he isn't exactly her favorite person when she gets the internship at his company. He pursues an energetic physical relationship with her, probably not the wisest thing on either of their parts.Hero was a typical man-whore and a jerk and I didn't much care for him. The story could have used more character development for the heroine. They certainly spend a great deal of time messing around and quite vigorously. One things hero is sure of, he doesn't think he is fatherhood material and he's dead set against kind of family. A dislodged iud gives him plenty to think about.A decent HEA. Plenty of steamy scenes. An OK read if you aren't expecting much.But one plot point was a stretch. A stallion is not a good mount for an inexperienced rider, especially one used for breeding.
